My Favorites From September 2023

Sep 30

pink corduroy double breasted blazer : madewell dress : freshwater pearl and gold rings

September flew by as we settled into our new back to school routines and Fall Fashion came in strong – all while it was still a balmy 80 degrees outside! But living in Wisconsin, layers are something I’ve grown fond of. If it’s adding a simple sweater vest over a Summer dress to give it new life or changing out your shoes from sandals to an easy yet breathable clog, fall dressing can be fun and a nice change of pace. So here is what I’m loving right now as we head into my favorite season of color and change:

1. Clare V. Grande Fanny Bag

Wear it as a fanny pack, wear it as a sling, or throw it in a larger tote bag to stay organized. No matter how you wear it, this bag will be your new best friend. The check pattern flew off the shelves but this rich brown or pacific blue are just as good.

2. Madewell Silver Circle Earrings

Metallic silver is back in a big way this season and while I’m an Autumn color personality feels the most comfortable in rich, warm tones (if you don’t know your color personality, take the quiz here) adding a subtle cooler tone adds tension and a subtle unexpected twist to my outfits.

3. Reformation Denim Jeans

If you’re like me and don’t have a 100% flat tummy, these jeans are for you! They hold me in without feeling like I can’t breathe (or sit down!) And if buying new jeans makes you break out in hives (understandable, been there), grab them from Amazon owned shopbop for fast shipping and easy returns. See my shopbop most hearted styes here!

4. M.Gemi Slingback Clogs

A clog that doesn’t make a sound when you walk, that has a slingback so it won’t fall off your foot, AND made of high quality leather? Yes please! I discovered M.Gemi after buying Mike these men’s loafers and to say I’m in love with this brand is a massive understatement. I keep an eye out for sales so join my weekly email list here to stay up to date!

5. Boden Relaxed-Fit Check Overcoat

I might have gasped the first time I saw this coat. The playful check in a classic overcoat style is something I’ll be able to wear for YEARS without it going out of style. The description said it was slightly oversized so I ordered a size down and it was too tight for my liking. I ordered my regular size so follow me here and I’ll keep you updated on a full review!

6. $10Target Glass Pumpkin Candle

I bought this candle last year and keep it as a decoration so I can enjoy it year after year because the amount of joy this little glass pumpkin gives me is just insane. And don’t worry, I easily scent my house with these so I don’t have to worry about the kids or dog starting a fire! (night gardenia is my all time fav!)

7. $20 Brass Bow Tree Topper

This McGee & Co tree topper sold out so quickly last year that I missed it! But I was so in love I kept waiting for a restock, and a year later here it is! I also grabbed this wrapping paper and have my eye on this gorgeous wreath.

8. Clare V Coffee Table Book

Alert – incredible gift idea for the woman who loves fashion! Clare V. is an icon and her iconic brand is known for its high quality and on trend bag, clothing, and accessories. I bought my first bag from her almost 10 years ago and I still wear it today. This hat is also a go-to.

9. Tuckernuck Grenada Top

I’m always on the hunt for beautiful blouses like this one that are not crazy expensive. And apparently I’m not the only one since sizes are going fast!

10. Boden Teddy Vest

Cold weather layers here I come! Pieces that are functional, comfortable, and stylish are my jam and this one fits the bill perfectly.

11. Parker Thatch Camo and Stripe Tote Bag

While I moved on from a diaper bag I still need a tote large enough to carry kids snacks, change of clothes, water bottle etc, but not too large that it’s obnoxious and hard to carry. This tote fits the bill perfectly! Wear it with our without a cross body strap.

12. Cotopaxi Rain Trench Jacket

Don’t get caught in the rain without one! I realized I didn’t have a rain jacket I loved so I went on the hunt and found this beauty. The contrast zipper and logo colors are the cutest! But it’s also super functional with a two way zipper and adjustability at the hood, wrists, AND waist. This one was a close second. Check out the full edit of rain jackets and boots.

And don’t forget…

In case no one else reminds you today, you are ENOUGH. You BELONG. And you are LOVED.

XO, Claire
