The last one is always the most controversial but was a game changer for me.
After leaving my corporate job to stay at home with my daughter, then having a baby at the beginning of a pandemic I struggled to find me in all of it. And after posting my outfits here and over on Instagram for the last year I know I’m not the only one.
Focusing on getting dressed, even with nowhere to go, is what brought me back to life. But it wasn’t without challenges and learnings. Once I started really tuning into how I wanted to feel, I learned a lot about myself and had to move forward from some old habits that were no longer serving me.
So here are the 5 things I stopped doing...and what I now do instead.

I Stopped Criticizing Myself In The Mirror…
Everyone has an insecurity and instead of focusing on mine I look myself in the eye and say, I love you. Over and over again.

I Stopped Holding Onto Clothes That No Longer Served Me
If it didn’t fit my body, had negative energy, or didn’t fit into my lifestyle now ~ I either sold, donated it, or put it in storage…and my closet immediately felt more like the real me.

I Stopped Saving Clothes For Later
Even if it’s just am average Wednesday I have more energy, creativity & patience with my kids when I’m dressed for the day.

I Stopped Defaulting To Wearing Black
I know this one is controversial and many people feel incredible in black, but it started to feel heavy on me. I swapped it for navy, chocolate brown, burgundy or dark greens and felt lighter and happier.
