Hi!! I don’t know where to start this other than life has brought me to my knees over and over again the last few weeks. My mom was in the ICU where I sat with her most days, a close family member (my age) received an aggressive cancer diagnosis, our sewer line backed up into the finished part of our basement which had to be brought down to the studs and we started remodeling our house which I thought I could design myself (along with a design/build) but 100% now see the value in hiring an interior designer. Whew, am I right??

But when seasons like this hit, I go back to this quote and know without a doubt that something incredible is in the works and on its way…maybe even sooner than I expect.

So if you’re going through it with me, let’s put on an outfit that makes us feel happy and unstoppable, then imperfectly put one foot in front of the other… because we got this!

Reporting Back

I couldn’t shut up about this Marine Layer sweater when I was ordering it and I’m happy to report it’s just as good as I had hoped. The button detail adds that something unexpected and the fit is perfect. I can see it paired with a skirt or even layered over a dress! AND it’s 20% off right now.

Also, $110 jeans! That I bought twice…here’s why. I threw up an Instagram story talking about how my jeans are a tighter than they were last season and how I’m just sizing up and moving on. I didn’t think much of it until my DM’s flooded saying how much it helped and how they felt SEEN. I definitely would have beat myself up about it before but now in my 40’s I just don’t have the time or energy to waste on it. I know I’m healthy, I know my weight fluctuates, and I know by wearing clothes that fit me I naturally fall back it my natural size.

J.Crew Factory remains one of my go-to places to shop for under $150 styles and this jacket is a winner (& a bestseller this week)

I’ve also been reaching for these Schutz burgundy flats WAY more than I thought, they’re pretty much a Fall neutral that we all need in our closet.

I’m so-so on the viral J.Crew pants. They’re an easy fit for days I need a throw on and go but I do have to wear them high on my waist so they don’t feel sloppy. The length also runs very short, I’m 5’3” and the petite was comical. I returned for the classic which still feels like a crop length even on me.
