Growing up in a large family (5th of 6 kids), I went on exactly zero vacations as a kid…unless you count the day trip to Great America where you KNOW were packed our own lunch! Then I was invited to go with my high school orchestra to London and oh my gooooosh, I was hooked. I promised myself then that if I ever had kids I’d do whatever I can to travel with them, discover new places & go on fun adventures, together.

Since they have a 2 week Spring Break (I know…it’s insane) this is our time to take a larger trip so we headed off to Oahu, Hawaii. Mike wanted to see Pearl Harbor and we’re currently Disney obsessed so while we didn’t stay at the Aulani, the Four Seasons is right next door so we were able to get our fill. The weather was not on our side this trip but we made the best of it and created beautiful memories.

Travel Days

There was a massive snow/ice storm headed to Wisconsin the day were were supposed to fly out of Chicago O’Hare so we decided to drive down early and stay at the Loewes Hotel near the airport, which worked out great since we were able to leave our car there. TIP: I head straight to the fitness room to fill up everyones water bottles
