Okay listen, I’m not a beauty expert. Odds are high I’m applying something incorrectly. And while I don’t particularly enjoy the ritual of putting on makeup on busy mornings, what I do love is how it makes me feel. So over the years I’ve tried enough products and colors to come up with a quick and simple yet effective routine that works for me… & my extremely sensitive skin & eyes! And enough of you have reached out asking what I do I thought it would be nice having it all in one place.
I laid out all my products below including colors and a few hair products I’ve been obsessed with lately. Hope you find it useful and of course leave a comment with any questions or tips of your own!
xo, Claire

Makeup
SkinBetter Tone Smart Sunscreen Compact: The last step in my skincare routine before I apply my makeup. Lightweight, non greasy mineral sunscreen that adjusts to your skintone for a look natural look. I can barely tell I have it on.
Merit Minimalist Stick in Ochre: I use this mostly for an all over foundation stick but this Summer I’ve also gone in with it as a just a concealer then went all over with the barely there No Makeup Makeup Foundation.
No Makeup Makeup Foundation in Light-Medium: The name says it all! Perfect for Summer barely there coverage. Grab it on its own or as a duo with the brush like I have. They also have try before you buy program which is so helpful when giving a new brand a go.
Merit Bronze Balm in Clay or Siene: Glides on smooth and easily blends into my skin. I use Clay the most but in Summer when I want a bit more color I go in with Siene.
Merit Flush Balm in LeBonBon or Apres: Love love love this stuff! LeBonBon is my everyday and I use Apres more in the Winter months. I also swipe it on my lips for quick and easy color.
Merit Day Glow Highlighting Balm in Cava: Same as with the bronze balm, it glides on smooth and easily blends.
Mascara! Oh my gosh this has been such a tough one for me. I have VERY sensitive skin and eyes, and have even broken out in a rash around my eyes from “clean” products. And for a while there ever time I looked in the mirror I had a dark ring under my eye from my mascara running. So a few months ago I put up a poll on Instagram and you delivered! My top two are the Ilia Limitless in Before Dawn and the Tower28 MakeWaves in Drift.
Anastasia Perfect Brown Pencil in Blonde: This is where I get the most questions because while my hair on my head has darkened over the years my eyebrows are still the same light blonde I had as a kid. So I need to completely fill them in and this pencil is my ride or die, I don’t know what I’d do if they ever stop making it! And this clear hold brow setter is a nice to have but doesn’t make a huge difference.
Tower28 Lip Gloss in Pistachio: Most busy mornings all I’m doing on my lips is a quick swipe of my Merit Flush Balm (in LeBonBon) with a layer of lip gloss on top.
Merit Signature Lipstick in Sunday: I don’t wear this everyday but when I want a bit of color I’ll dab it on or go all in for a party or night out. I’ve also really like the Lip Blush in Andie for a subtle look but I’ve ordered it twice and both times it broke.
Hair
& a few hair products I’ve added into my daily routine lately…
K18 AirWash Dry Shampoo: I’ve been using crown affair for over a year but recently tried that K18 while I adore both I have to say the K18 just makes it so easy! Sprays on wet but dries quicly leaving no residue and my scalp doesn’t feel dry and itchy at the end of the day.
Virtue Un Frizz Cream: I wish I knew about this stuff sooner! Smooths, strengthens and is a heat protectant. I run it through my wet hair after showering then a small amount again once it’s dry to calm any remaining flyaways.
Wonder Valley Hair Oil: My hair has always been dry so I had a friend tell me I should be using a hair oil! I massage it into my scalp about once a week then sleep with it and shower it out in the morning. Not only does it smell amazing but my hair feels silky smooth after!
