DENIM / TANK / EARRING SET
Creating a neutral base with a matching top and bottom is an easy jumping off point to build multiple outfits from. But don’t think the “neutral base” has to be black, brown, or white! A simple blue tank (mine is $8 from target and comes in a ton of color options) paired with denim bottoms – jeans, shorts, or skirt – accomplishes the same goal and adds a little bit more fun to your look.
Here are the 4 ways I styled it:
Number 1
SHOES / DENIM / TANK / BLAZER / BAG (a splurge i’ve had for 10+ years) / EARRINGS / NECKLACE 1 / NECKLACE 2 / NO SHOW SOCKS
Layer whatever blazer you have in your closet on top with your favorite sneakers. Tip – if your blazer is a pattern like mine, go for a solid sneakers. I like this for a work from home look or a casual Friday at the office or even weekend errands and brunch!
Number 2
SHOES (this years colors) / DENIM / JACKET / BAG / EARRINGS / TANK
I have been grabbing this windbreaker jacket (an Amazon find!) a lot lately. The color is perfect for Spring and if it gets hot just tie it around your waist or throw it over your shoulder. I love this look for kids sporting events, grocery store runs, and everyday life!
Number 3
SHOES / DENIM / TOP / TANK / BAG / EARRINGS
As the weather starts to warm up think beyond your sweaters and jackets for layers! A lovely floral top adds interest and the raffia bag is on trend for Spring and Summer. And did you know these green drivers can be throw in the washer? Another reason why they’re on constant rotation.
Number 4
SHOES / DENIM / TANK / SWEATER / BAG / BAG STRAP / EARRINGS
These under-$20 sandals add to the neutral base so I was then able to go bold with a stripe cardigan. I also swapped out my bag strap for this one to add a little more Spring to the look.
