Styled Outfit Ideas: Wide Leg Pants

Jan 23

As I edited my closet to included only what I love and wear, I started noticing a few gaps. Which can seem frustrating at first but then I realized I basically have my shopping list for the year! So now I can be laser focused and confident with my purchases rather than being sucked into a sale that I’ll regret later.

One thing on my list this year was tailored pants, not denim or athleisure. But with two young kids and a busy lifestyle I need them to be comfortable and wearable. So when I came across this pair I could not hit the purchase button fast enough. A wide leg, easy color, and on trend sailor inspired buttons gives them a playful character that is ripe for dressing up for work or keeping it casual for everyday. It got my creative juices flowing so I pulled together 4 looks for how to style wide leg pants. Which one is your favorite??? Message me here

KEEP IT CASUAL

Layering a puffer vest (full puffer vest roundup here) over a classic stripe turtleleck is an easy go-to that pairs beautifully with wide leg pants. High top sneakers (see how I tie them here!) fit nicely under the pant leg and the colors tie into the vest. Playful socks, coordinating glasses/sunglasses, and tortoise hoop earrings finish the look.

I love the hearts on this sweatshirt and the sneakers tie to it nicely. The pants and dark socks give the look depth while the patterned sunglasses add an additional layer of personality. Dainty earrings elevate the casual look.

DRESS IT UP

This hair scrunchie is so cute and coordinates perfectly with the pant. The gold metallic loafers make an on trend statement while the socks and earrings lighten up the look. This would be a beautiful transition to Spring or Easter look.

Red continues to be the color of the year and bringing it into your footwear is one of the easiest ways to incorporate the trend. And I’m a huge fan of red and green all year round! The belt and top dress up the look. Wear it to work then roll up the sleeves and open a few buttons for girls night out.

YOU. ARE. BEAUTIFUL
